Velting Doors first opened shop in May of 2010.

Doug, the owner, has been servicing and installing garage door and access systems since graduating high school in 1997. He got his start working for his Uncle's door company in northern new jersey and spent 12 years learning and mastering the trade. In the spring of 2010 the Velting's decided it was time to bring a higher level of service to the garage door industry in Central NJ and opened Velting Overhead.

While sitting at the dinner table discussing the way their new Family Owned and Operated business would be different from all the others in the area, it was clear very quickly what core principles the business would operate on.

Honesty

Many companies have their employees try to up sell at every opportunity in order to increase their profit margin. We vowed to never be "those guys".

Reliability

Many companies only care about their customers until they get paid, and then the customer is left to fend for themselves. We make sure our customers fully understand how their new doors and openers work, including all of the features and any maintenance that may be involved from day one.

Quality

Many companies install the cheapest products they can find, and over charge for them to keep their profits high and guarantee the products will wear out in the future and need to be replaced again. We install only top quality American Made garage doors and do it for a price that is much lower than some of our competitors charge for inferior products. Our view is that we would rather make a little money, on a lot of installs, than a lot of money off of a few jobs. We feel that if we provide high quality doors and openers at a great price, you will surely tell your neighbors how happy you are with our work and product line. Our family name is on the side of our service trucks, and our family name goes on every single product we install, and we have no intention of tarnishing that name. Our mission is to provide Name Brand, National level of service, with the feel of a small town country store. With us you aren't just a customer or invoice number, you're part of the VOD family.

In 1999 Doug joined the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company, Station 56, in Jackson NJ. He has served as an Engine Operator, Engineer, Lieutenant, Safety Officer and President over the last 15 years. Being a very active family, Doug has been a baseball coach, from the T-Ball years right up through the majors in Berkeley Township. He has also been an assistant and head coach for Bayville Pop Warner Football.
